In my spare time, I challenged myself to create a custom open-world outpost using Far Cry 5's in-game Arcade Editor using its existing art and scripting capabilities. Now available for download through this link.
Map Description: Cultists have descended from Hope County to the lakeshores of Yellowstone to expand their military presence. Take back this foothold by any means necessary, either by land, lake, vehicle, or underground passage; these cultists must be stopped! I initially explored a narrative-driven linear singleplayer level but found the editor's capabilities unable to satisfy my design so I resorted to what the editor does best; constructing open-world content. |

Inspired by real-life accounts, I initially attempted to create a linear, narrative-driven, singleplayer level in which the in-game cult has occupied a seemingly normal farm to investigate and utilise its paranormal happenings. I aimed to strengthen my level design pacing skills by starting the level as a routine mission, which culminates in a inexplicable climax.
Unable to achieve the results I desired due to the editor's capabilities I instead returned to creating a small piece of open-world content.
